Mancunian R&B singer Pip Millet frequently releases dreamy sounds for us to feast our ears on, the latest being 'Hard Life'. The new single has landed alongside an intimate, homely video, opening with snippets of old family photos, followed by Pip hanging out with her mates. Musically, the song has has a retro feel, reminiscent of Amy Winehouse. Accompanying Pip's soulful offering on the chorus are Motown-style backing vocals that cry 'It's a hard life'. In Pip's own words, “It’s about moving through unresolved trauma and understanding that ignoring those things doesn’t mean they go away.
